Multicultural Participation

The USTA/Hawaii Pacific Section is dedicated to promote and develop tennis within communities that will significantly increase minority participation among recreational and competitive players, volunteers, tennis professionals and coaches. This commitment is aimed at providing all people with the opportunity to experience the educational, health and social benefits of tennis for a lifetime

Following are some of our multicultural initiatives:

  • Deliver USTA Play To Learn Tennis programs to minority and under-privileged players.

  • Provide a scholarship for a Multicultural USTA Tennis Instructor/Coach to attend the Annual USTA Tennis Teachers Conference in New York.

  • Provide Player Development Grants for Multicultural junior players.

  • Provide Community Development Grants

  • Provide scholarships for Multicultural USTA Tennis Instructors/Coaches to attend the Section’s Annual Developmental Coaches Workshop.

  • Provide youth scholarships for various summer tennis camps.
